Lotus Code brings together music, spoken word and live visuals in a shared performance space, where artists respond to each other in real time.
Visual artist, musicians, composers, a digital sound artist and poet work as a single ensemble, shaping the piece through a continuous exchange between human performers and digital systems—where the digital is not set against the human, but immersed as part of the co-creative group.

The seven Anglo–Japanese artists blend composed material with improvisation, allowing the work to shift and evolve in the moment. AI models, trained on a range of Japanese musical sources, weave into the live sound as it unfolds—becoming part of the ensemble’s collective voice rather than a fixed layer.
